Young Munster maintained their challenge at the top of Division 1A of the Ulster Bank League as Cork Constitution were beaten by Limerick opposition for the second successive week, going down to Garryowen at Dooradoyle.

Young Munster had a dramatic victory against Clontarf with a 20-18 win at Tom Clifford Park.
A David O’Mahony penalty had Munsters level after 17 minutes. Clontarf raced into a 15-3 lead with two tries but just before half-time the Cookies had tries from Colm Skehan and Jack Harrington both converted by O’Mahony for a 17-15 interval lead.
Clontarf regained the lead with a penalty but an injury-time three-pointer from O’Mahony saw the home side take the spoils.
Garryowen had the kicking of Neil Cronin to thank for their 16-13 home victory over Cork Constitution.
Cork Constitution raced into an early 10-0 lead with a try by Conor Kindregan and a conversion and a penalty by Tomás Quinlan.
Cronin kicked two penalties in the last five minutes of the half to leave Garryowen trailing 10-6 at the break.
Five minutes into the second half Garryowen took the lead with a try from Andrew O'Byrne and Cronin converted.
Quinlan and Cronin exchanged penalties as Garryowen held out for victory.
U.L. Bohemian won their top of the table clash in Division 1B at the University of Limerick 4G pitch, 29-21.
Rick McKenna was star of the day for UL Bohs with two tries and three conversions. Joe Murray, Jamie McNamara also had tries and Robbie Bourke added a penalty.
An injury time penalty from Kevin O’Keeffe earned UCC their first win with an 18-17 win against undefeated Ballymena.
The Ulster side raced into an early 12-0 but an O’Keeffe penalty and a conversion of a Chris McAuliffe try left the Students trailing 17-10 at half-time.
A super try by James Kiernan in the 78th minute closed the gap until O’Keeffe’s dramatic sideline winner.
Dolphin recorded their first win of the campaign with a 27-18 win over Galwegians at Irish Independent Park.
Three penalties from Barry Keeshan saw the home side trail 15-9 at the interval. Tries from Dave O’Mahony and Karl Keogh and a conversion and two penalties by Keeshan earned Dolphin the points.
Shannon are now at the bottom of the table after their 18-12 away defeat by Ballynahinch. A Riley Winter try gave Shannon a 5-3 half time lead, but their only response after the break was a try by Shane Mullally which Ronan McKenna converted.
Division 2A leaders Nenagh Ormond had to rely on a last minute penalty from Clayton Stewart to earn them a share of the spoils at Woodleigh Park after they played out a 16-16 draw with Highfield.
A try from Willie Coffey and a conversion and two penalties by Stewart gave the Tipperary side a 13-10 interval lead. Dave Kelly scored Highfield’s try and Paddy O’Toole kicked a conversion and a penalty. O’Toole looked like he had given the home side the points with two penalties until Stewart’s late strike.
Sunday’s Well got their first win of the campaign with an 8-0 win away to Belfast Harlequins.
All the scores came in the opening half with hooker John Moynihan, playing his last game for the ‘Well before emigrating, scoring the only try with Mark Chandler kicking a penalty.
Cashel are still looking for their first win following their 38-15 home defeat by Galway Corinthians.
Andrew Wallace and Philip O’Connor scored tries for Cashel and Ollie McGlinchey kicked a conversion and a penalty.
Old Crescent had their first win in Division 2B after their 24-16 win over Wanderers at Rosbrien.
The Limerick side had tries from Val McDermott, Brian Touhy and Larry Hanly all of which Shane O’Brien converted. Barry Neville also added a penalty.
Thomond and City of Derry played out a 13-13 draw at Judges Road in a bottom of the table clash. Gary Bateman scored Thomond’s try and Dermot Fitzgerald converted and also added two penalties.
Midleton lost their top of the table clash with Rainey Old Boys at the Towns Park 24-17 in Division 2C. Alan Long and Sean White scored tries for Midleton and Daniel Murray converted both. Stuart Lee kicked a first half penalty for Midleton who trailed 7-3 at half-time.
A try from Ben Martin and a Conor Cremin penalty was not enough for Kanturk who lost away to Sligo 39-8.
Bruff are still in bottom spot after their 31-10 away defeat by Seapoint.
