A handful of rescheduled games in the All Ireland League were played over the weekend which saw Garryowen lose their place in the play offs in Division 1A as Cork Constitution defeated leaders Lansdowne 25-13.
Tomas Quinlan was yet again Cork Constitution’s hero in their 25-13 win over Lansdowne at Temple Hill kicking twenty points. He converted Brian Hayes’s try and also struck six penalties.
At Dooradoyle second place Terenure College secured a bonus point victory with a 29-13 victory. Sean Rennisson scored Garryowen’s try and Neil Cronin converted and added two penalties.
Old Crescent continued their unbeaten run with a 29-14 victory over Wanderers at Merrion Road in Division 2B. Gary Fitzgerald scored two tries for the Limerick side and Liam McMahon and Val McDermott got one each. Ronan McKenna kicked three conversions and a penalty.
In Division 2C: Thomond regained top spot with a 16-10 home win over Bangor. Leonard Slattery and Evan Cusack scored tries for Thomond and Cusack added two penalties.
Bruff’s hopes of making the playoffs look over after their 35-5 home defeat by bottom side Tullamore. Magnus Collins gave Bruff an early lead with a try.
