UCC and Nenagh Ormond were the only Munster sides to win as UL Bohemian, Highfield, Thomond and Cork Constitution were defeated.

Cork Constitution’s hopes of a sixth successive Bateman Cup title ended in failure at Temple Hill as they lost to Lansdowne 32-12. Liam O’Connell and Darren O’Shea scored tries for Con’ and Tomas Quinlan kicked one conversion.

St. Mary’s College were relegated from Division 1A of the All Ireland League after they lost at home to U.C.C. 36-24. College must now travel to Banbridge (28-24 winners over Ballynahinch) next week to decide who will be playing in Division 1A next season.

U.L. Bohemian were relegated from Division 1B after they lost at home to Nenagh Ormond 23-18. Nenagh dominated the opening half and tries from Clayton Stewart and Kevin Seymour both converted by Stewart who also kicked two penalties had the Tipperary side 20-5 ahead at half time. James Ryan was U.L. Bohes try scorer.

A try from John Ryan and a conversion and penalty by Robbie Bourke closed the gap to five points as Stewart and Bourke exchanged penalties in the closing stages.

Nenagh must now travel to City of Armagh next week in the Division 2A play-off promotion final after the Ulster side had a comprehensive 27-13 win over Highfield at Woodleigh Park. Dan Healy scored a try for Highfield and Paddy O’Toole kicked two penalties and a conversion.

Thomond lost their Division 2C Promotion play-off semi-final away to Omagh 34-13.

Division 2B Promotion Play-Offs: Greystones 16, Navan 22;

Rainey Old Boys 26, MU Barnhall 14;

Division 2C Promotion Play-Offs: Belfast Harlequins 19, Malahide 13;

Omagh 34, Thomond 13;

Bateman Cup Final: Cork Constitution 12, Lansdowne 32;
