Cork Constitution toppled league leaders Clontarf in Division 1A of the All Ireland League to move into top spot.

Cork Constitution came with a late rally at Castle Avenue to defeat Clontarf 16-13.

The home side were leading 13-3 and well in control entering the final stages when substitute Joe McSwiney scored a try for Con’ which Aidan Moynihan converted.

A penalty in added time by Moynihan ensured victory for the visitors. Moynihan contributed a conversion and two penalties in this win.

U.C.C. recorded their first win in the top flight with a 28-14 win over Dublin University at the Mardyke to ease their relegation worries.

This came was also their annual colours game. Rob Hedderman, Ryan Murphy, James Taylor and Matt Bowen scored tries for College with Taylor converting all four.

There was a thrilling game at Tom Clifford Park as Young Munster and UCD shared the spoils 34-34.

With seven minutes remaining Young Munster had two players yellow carded and UCD scored two tries but missed the final conversion in front of the posts to win the game.

Calvin Nash, Darragh O’Neill, Ed O’Keeffe, Tom Goggin, Alan Kennedy and Shane Fenton scored tries for Young Munster and Shane Airey added two conversions.

Shannon have slipped down to sixth place in the table after their 32-15 home defeat by Lansdowne on the back pitch in Thomond Park. Robbie Deegan and Nathan Randles scored tries for Shannon and Conor Fitzgerald kicked a conversion and a penalty.

Garryowen defeated bottom side Terenure College 17-16 at Lakelands Park with a try from Darren Ryan and four penalties by Ben Healy.

Highfield remain top of Division 2A after their 42-19 home win over bottom side Galwegians.

Shane O’Riordan contributed nineteen points of his side’s tally with a try and seven conversions. Dave O’Sullivan scored two tries and Gavin O’Leary, Miah Cronin and Eddie Earls scored one each.

Cashel remain in second place after their 24-20 home win against UL Bohemian.

Richard Moran, Conor Cash and Aidan McDonnell scored tries for Cashel who were also awarded a penalty try.

Jason Newton kicked one conversion. Two late tries from James McCarthy secured U.L. Bohemian a losing bonus point. Robbie Bourke converted both tries and added two penalties.

Old Crescent eased their relegation worries with a 29-15 home win over Nenagh Ormond.

Trailing to tries by Nicky Irwin, John Healy and Cillian Gleeson Crescent rallied with tries from Cathal O’Reilly, Gary Fitzgerald, Val McDermott and Jack Hogan.

Ronan McKenna kicked three conversions and a penalty.

Dolphin moved out of the relegation zone with a 20-16 home win over Blackrock College.

Alan O’Sullivan, Rob Reardon and Conor Flannigan scored tries for Dolphin and Daryl Foley converted two.

Sunday’s Well lost 53-17 to Greystones as the Wicklow side went top of Division 2B.

John Barry, Michael Boland and Joshua Barnes scored tries for the ‘Well and Eoin Geary kicked one conversion.

Midleton lost top spot in Division 2C to second placed Ballina 29-20 at the Mayo venue.

Bruff have moved up to second place a point ahead of Midleton after their 23-17 home win over Omagh Academicals.

Cillian Rea scored a try for Bruff who were also awarded a penalty try. Kevin McManus kicked a conversion and three penalties.

Thomond are now bottom of the table after their 19-16 away defeat by City of Derry.

Evan Cusack scored a try, conversion and two penalties for the Limerick side.
