Holders Cork Constitution, Garryowen and U.L. Bohemian have all qualified for the Bank of Ireland Munster Senior Cup semi finals.

Beaten finalists for the past two seasons Young Munster are out of this year’s competition after losing a thrilling contest at Dooradoyle where Garryowen came out on top 19-16.

Neil Cronin was Garryowen’s hero scoring all their points.

Cronin put Garryowen ahead with a penalty after five minutes but two penalties from Shane Airey had the visitors 6-3 ahead after twenty five minutes.

Three minutes later Cronin added a try and conversion for a 10-6 half time lead for the home side.

Two penalties from Cronin made it 16-6 with twenty minutes remaining.

Tries from Daniel Hurley and Evan O’Gorman drew Young Munster level with seven minutes left.

A minute from time Cronin kicked his fourth penalty to book Garryowen their place in the last four.

Garryowen will now face holders Cork Constitution at Dooradoyle in the semi-final after the Temple Hill side defeated U.C.C. 44-10 in their quarter final tie at the Mardyke.

The defending champions scored six tries and led 24-10 at half time.

Greg Higgins, Conor Kindregan, Ned Hodson, Brendan Quinlan, Joe McSwiney and Dylan Murphy were the Con’ try scorers. Tomas Quinlan kicked four conversions and two penalties.

Rob O’Donovan replied with a try for UCC and Alex Molloy kicked a conversion and a penalty.

U.L. Bohemian defeated Old Crescent 27-19 in an exciting quarter final under lights at Rosbrien and will now face Bruff away in the semi finals.

Larry Hanly gave Old Crescent the lead with a try after five minutes.

Mike Mullally opened U.L Bohemian account with a penalty three minutes later.

A try by Kevin Meade on ten minutes converted by Ronan McKenna made it 12-3 in favour of the Rosbrien side.

Two tries by Harry Fleming, the second converted by Mullally had UL Bohes 15-12 ahead after twenty minutes. A third try by Adrian Enright made it 20-12 for the visitors at half time.

Two minutes into the second half Tabitha Tioa scored a try for Crescent and McKenna converted to leave a point between the sides.

Two minutes from time UL Bohes were awarded a penalty try to secure their passage to the last four.

Sunday’s Well defeated Belfast Harlequins 17-12 in the only game played in the Ulster Bank League this weekend and moved up to fifth place in Division 2B.

Trailing 12-0 approaching half time, the ‘Well were awarded a penalty try. In the second half Paul Derham scored a try and Shane O’Riordan converted and added a penalty
