Garryowen made it two wins out of two with a home win over defending champions Lansdowne.

A 17-14 victory at Dooradoyle sees Garryowen move up to third place in the All Ireland League Division 1A table a point behind leaders Cork Constitution.

A Liam Cronin try converted by Peadar Collins saw the home side trail 9-7 at the interval. Sean Rennisson added a second try after the break and Collins converted and also added a penalty to secure victory.

In the big game in Division 2A Highfield defeated Cashel 17-12 a result that also doubled up as a Munster Senior Cup game. Cashel led 9-7 at half time with Jonty Rae kicking four penalties for Cashel. Dave O’Sullivan and Brian O’Hea replied with tries for Highfield and Shane O’Riordan converted both and added a penalty.

Dolphin won their first game of the campaign with a 26-21 home win over Old Crescent. Alan O’Sullivan scored two tries for Dolphin and Cameron O’Shaughnessy got one. Daryl Foley kicked three penalties and a conversion. Old Crescent replied with two tries from Val McDermott both converted by Ronan McKenna and the visitors were also awarded a penalty try.

A last minute try in the sixth minute of added time ended Sunday’s Well unbeaten run at Corinthians in Division 2B where they lost 23-19. Eoin Geary scored a try and two conversions for the ‘Well and Michael Boland and Cyprian Jouve got a try each.

Midleton have gone a point clear in Division 2C after their 34-8 bonus point win over second placed Bangor at the Towns Park. Jon Gardiner Benji Cottle, Daniel Murray, Stuart Lee and Maurice Daly scored tries for Midleton with Lee kicking three conversions and a penalty.

Bruff continued their revival with a 13-9 win away to Tullamore. Daniel Jackson scored a try for Bruff and Tony Cahill converted and added two penalties.

A try from Kory Brown and a conversion and two penalties by Evan Cusack was not enough for Thomond who lost 28-13 at home to Omagh Academicals.
