Seven Munster Players In Ireland U18 Squad

A 23 man Ireland U18 Squad, sponsored by PwC, has been named for a match against Portugal U18s this Saturday in Praca da Maratona.
The Munster contingent are Thomas Ahern (Dungarvan RFC/St. Augustine’s Dungarvan), Ben Daly (Waterpark RFC/Ard Scoil Na Mhara), Padraig McCarthy (Bantry Bay RFC/Colaiste Pobail Bheanntrai), Conor Morrissey (Cork Constitution FC/Mayfield CS), Evan Murphy (Nenagh Ormond RFC/Nenagh CBS), Conor O’Brien (Nenagh Ormond RFC/Nenagh CBS) and Kevin O’Connor (Cashel RFC/Cashel Community School).
Daly was the winner of September’s Munster Moment of the Month for his intercept try against Connacht in the Interprovincial championship.

The squad is coached by Dan Van Zyl, a Coach Development Officer with Leinster Rugby.
There are a number of players from the IQ Rugby programme identified through the IRFU Exiles included for the trip to Portugal.
