Six Munster Players Selected For Ireland U18 Youths

The Ireland U18 Youth selectors have named six Munster players in their 23 man international squad.
Winger Brian Fanning from Bruff RFC has been selected in the backs and has been named along with five Munster forwards.
Midleton’s second row Sean O’Leary has been selected as well as back row Josh Barnes from Tralee who will join him in the pack. Barnes is younger brother of former Munster player Danny Barnes who now plays his club rugby with English Premiership side Newcastle Falcons.
Munster’s front row have all been named which includes Philip Poillot from Clonakilty (loosehead), Waterpark’s Dylan Power (hooker) and Ben Betts (tighthead) from Young Munster.
The Ireland squad will convene at camp tomorrow, 12th February, in Ashbourne RFC before they travel to Italy to take on their Italian counterparts this Saturday, 15th February.
A further training camp is scheduled for March ahead of the squad’s tour to France when they play the host country and England.
