Skibbereen RFC Host Information Evening

Skibbereen RFC recently hosted a West Cork coach, player & parent information to promote a healthy body and mind to all attendees.

Guest speakers on the evening included Ruth Drennan from Munster Rugby, Garda and ex-Cork footballer Don Davies, Physiotherapist Thomas Dekker and endurance swimmer Stephen Redmond who presented on nutrition, healthy lifestyle and motivation in sport.

The workshop followed an on-pitch coach and player session between Skibbereen, Bantry and Clonakilty U16 players, including boys and girls.

In total, over 110 people filled the clubhouse for the presentations and the interaction with players, parents and coaches was very effective.

Peter Cawley and Skibbereen RFC co-ordinated the event while Bantry RFC and Clonakilty RFC also contributed to a successful information evening.
