Student Charity Event At Castleisland RFC

Transition year students from St. Joseph’s Presentation Convent and St. Pat’s Boys Secondary School recently ran a charity tag rugby blitz at Castleisland RFC for 120 second and fifth year pupils attending their schools.

The students coordinated the full event assisted by Munster Rugby Coaching Officer Ray Gadsden which proved to be highly successful on the day.

Duties included pitch set up, team fixtures and organising referees as well as arranging various fun activities for teams waiting to play.

Munster Rugby donated a signed poster and match tickets on the day with proceeds going to the Pieta House Mental Health charity.
