Students Complete Rugby Course
21st May 2013 By Munster Rugby
Presentation Brothers College Transition Year Students recently completed a Rugby Coaching Course following 11 weeks of modules tutored by Munster Rugby Coaching Officers.
On their final day of practical assessment the students coordinated a 7 a-side Tag Rugby Blitz for 5th and 6th class pupils attending neighboring primary school St. Josephs at the Mardyke, Cork.
The young coaches implemented their knowledge on generic and practical coaching incorporating teaching skills, planning and preparing a rugby session, basic rugby development initiatives and key factor analysis in the core skills of rugby and refereeing.
A total of six teams took part in the one day blitz with the young boys demonstrating an exciting and free flowing style of rugby.
Munster Rugby would like to congratulate the PBC students for successfully completing the course and wish them well in their future coaching endeavors.
