Students Complete Rugby Prime In Thurles

Students completing the Rugby Prime course.

Munster Community Rugby Officers recently delivered a Rugby Prime course to fourth year strength & conditioning students at LIT Thurles.

Rugby Prime is a fast and exciting modified game of non-contact rugby, and allows for mixed-gender participation, regardless of size, age and experience.

It promotes running, handling and the development of the game with a clear emphasis on physical activity and enjoyment.

The course at Thurles IT was ran to facilitate students in their final year and provide them with the ability to transfer their skills from the degree into the rugby world.

The course contained both classroom and on pitch modules where students also gained experience of rugby coaching.

Munster Community Rugby Officer Gerry Casey delivered the course.
