Summer Camp Fun Continues

Munster players Stephen Archer, Cian Bohane, Duncan Casey, Matt D’Arcy, Jordan Coughlan and Mike Sherry paid a visit yesterday to the Munster Rugby Summer Camps held in Muskerry, Thurles and Tralee rugby clubs.

Boys and girls aged between 6 and 12 are continuing to enjoy a week of fun activities with the added excitement of meeting some of their Munster Rugby heroes.

The professional players took the time to participate in some of the games with the young rugby enthusiasts, sign autographs and take part in a question and answers forum.

Next week the Summer Camps will take place at Ballincollig, Bruff and Fermoy. A limited number of places are still available to purchase for each camp, so if you want to guarantee a place at your preferred venue, don't delay and book online by clicking here.

This summer Munster Rugby has a total of 23 venues throughout the whole province (please see below for your nearest venue). Camp fee is €;85 per child with a family discount of a second and subsequent child at €;75.

Each camp takes place over one week (Monday through to Friday inclusive) between 9:30am and 1:30pm.

Each participant will receive an Official Summer Camp Pack comprising an adidas Summer Camp T-Shirt, adidas Shorts, adidas Socks, adidas Draw-String Bag, Mouth Guard and one Junior ticket to a Munster match.

Children who participate in the camps will get the chance to make new friends, learn more about rugby values such as team work, respect and integrity, and also become more aware of the importance of physical fitness. All this while learning to develop the basic rugby skills of passing, tackling (in a controlled environment), evasion and kicking. Most of all we guarantee lots of fun!

To facilitate the appropriate attention, participants will be divided by their age into groups. Central to the Munster Rugby Summer Camps philosophy is ensuring the introduction to the game of Rugby in a safe and controlled manner.

The Camps will be managed and run by fully accredited I.R.F.U. Mini Rugby coaches. All Summer Camp staff have undertaken the National Garda Vetting process required to comply with the IRFU policy regarding recruitment and vetting to work in age grade rugby.
