Summer Camps Fun Concludes For 2016
2nd September 2016 By Munster Rugby
The Bank of Ireland Munster Rugby Summer Camps 2016 came to an end last Friday following 8 weeks of fun rugby activities throughout all 6 Munster counties in a total of 20 venues.
Throughout the summer Munster Rugby professional players took the time during their pre season training to visit each camp and join in on the rugby activities with the children.
As part of Munster Rugby’s ongoing recruitment campaign at age grade level, the professional players encouraged the boys and girls to continue developing the skills they have learned over the summer at their local clubs.
Speaking on behalf of Munster Rugby, Community Rugby Manager Damon Urlich said “children who participated in the camps got the chance to make new friends, learn more about rugby values such as team work, respect and integrity, while also becoming more aware of the importance of physical fitness.
“First and foremost it was about fun, the kids came along had a good experience and overall the programme was a great success.”
Munster Rugby would like to thank all the boys and girls that took part in this year's Summer Camps and look forward to hosting more youth rugby activities throughout the season.
