Summer Camps | Week 1 Closes
7th July 2017 By The Editor
Well what a start to the Bank of Ireland Summer Camps, as kids from Bandon, Garryowen and Kilrush got stuck into the first week of rugby action, honing their skills in front of Munster’s finest.
Dunmanway native and former Bandon Grammar School pupil Darren Sweetnam was across the road from his alumni at Bandon RFC, alongside fellow Corkonian and Irish International James Cronin.
In Limerick meanwhile British & Irish Cup winner Alex Wootton paired up with Mike Sherry in Garryowen to answer questions and play some tag with boys and girls in South-West Limerick.
North of the Shannon estuary meanwhile in Kilrush, Duncan Casey and Ronan O’Mahony came down to take in some of the talent at the camps in Clare, a strong breeding ground for Munster’s developing players.
Next week the camps move to Highfield RFC and Scarriff, and we look forward to seeing what the kids from Cork City and East Clare bring to the party this year.
