There were no victories for the two Munster sides that played in the Ulster Bank League Division 1A in Dublin today
A last minute converted try by UCD denied Cork Constitution a bonus point win at Belfield, that would have seen the Temple Hill side move into fourth place, instead they had to settle for a 25-25 draw.
A Gerry Hurley penalty had Con’ trailing 15-3 at half time. Two tries from Graeme Lawlor and one each by Rob Jermyn and Luke Cahill and a Hurley conversion had the Cork side 25-18 ahead in the final stages of the game.
Young Munster had to settle for a losing bonus point at the Aviva Stadium where Lansdowne defeated them 28-21. A try by Derry O’Connor converted by Gearoid Lyons left the visitors trailing 14-7 at half time. Lansdowne added two converted tries early in the second half, but Munster’s finished the stronger. They were awarded a penalty try and then Ger Slattery got in for a try both converted by Lyons. The visitors had a few chances near the finish but Lansdowne held out.
