Tag Rugby Blitz For VEC Students
16th November 2015 By Munster Rugby
Following their Munster Leprechaun Rugby Coaching Course, participants on the Post Leaving Certificate programme recently hosted a Tag Rugby Blitz at Tralee Sports Complex.
Having completed a coaching course hosted by Munster Rugby at Cahersiveen the students ran a VEC Secondary School Tag Rugby Blitz as part of the project element of their course.
Course modules have also included refereeing, skills required and how to play Tag Rugby coordinated by Munster Community Rugby Officer Ray Gadsden.
PLC Coordinator John Creigh and his PLC students from Tralee ran a brilliant day out for approximately 200 fourth, fifth and sixth year students from the Killarney Community College, Colaiste Gleann Li, Killorglin CC, Colaiste na Scelige and Gaelcholiste Chairrai.
The planning, organisation and participation from all involved proved to be a huge success with everyone involved receiving a very positive rugby experience.
