Time And Venue Confirmed For Junior Cup Semi-Final

Next week’s Clayton Hotels Munster Schools Junior Cup semi-final replay have been confirmed for 2pm next Wednesday at Irish Independent Park, as old rivals Christians Brothers College and Presentation Brothers College renew pleasantries at the Cork venue.

Last week’s game was an epic battle, swinging one way and then the other, as the pair eventually cancelled each other out 15-apiece. While both teams were left disappointed at chances that might have been to qualify for this year’s final, the neutrals watching will welcome another opportunity to see two talented teams exhibit the running rugby seen last Wednesday.

It’s sure to be another tight contest for both teams, who have talent across their ranks, to try and reach a final where they will face Limerick’s Crescent College Comprehensive.

If there is a draw, the following criteria will be used to decide the winner.  (In this order)

1. Number of tries scored
2. First try scored
3. First team to score
4. In the event of a 0 – 0 draw then a penalty shoot-out will take place from the 22 meter line.
