Training Day For Kerry Schools

The Munster Rugby Development Department recently ran a training day for the Kerry Education Training Board, working with the PE teachers in the VEC (Vocational Education Committee) secondary schools.
The initiative was co-ordinated by Munster Community Rugby Officer Ray Gadsden, he also ran a separate refereeing module for the KCFE (Kerry College of Further Education) sports and leisure Post Leaving Certificate students.
The KCFE students then ran a tag rugby event for over 240 Transition Year pupils from Coláiste Gleann Lí Tralee, Killarney Community College, Killorglin Community College, Causeway Community College, Coláiste Na Sceilge, Castleisland Community College and KYDS Tralee.
Munster Rugby would like to thank the KCFE sports and leisure PLC group for refereeing and coordinating the event.
Last month, a rugby workshop was also held in Tralee. The initiative was part of the Kerry Educational Training Board's physical education programme.
Teachers from the below schools and organisations worked through a number of Tag and Touch rugby activities. Munster Rugby would like to thank all of the teachers and instructors that participated.
