Transition Year Programme In CBC
17th November 2014 By Munster Rugby
Munster Rugby recently ran a Transition Year Rugby programme in Christian Brothers College, Cork.
The Programme culminated with a Leprechaun rugby blitz and a mini blitz last Friday with further events planned in the new year and Easter.
Friday's blitz was co-ordinated by 33 Transition Year students for 120 pupils of the CBC Preparatory school ranging from 1st to 6th class.

The programme educates students on how to plan and deliver a rugby coaching session for primary school pupils.
The students were educated on generic and practical coaching. This incorporated teaching skills, planning and preparing a rugby session, basic rugby development initiatives and key factor analysis in the core skills of rugby.
The Transition Year students had been coaching the younger pupils for five weeks prior to the blitz.
On Friday, the students put the skills they had learned into practice and the day proved very enjoyable for everyone involved.
Munster Rugby would like to thank the students and teachers of Christian Brothers College for their participation in the programme.
