Try-Lights | Pinergy Munster Schools Senior Cup Round 2

Round 2 of the Pinergy Munster Schools Senior Cup took place last week with no shortage of exciting games taking place throughout the province.

On Wednesday, CBC booked their place in the semi-final of this year’s competition with an entertaining 37-25 over Bandon Grammar School at Musgrave Park. Bandon Grammar will have another opportunity to progress when they meet the winner of Ardscoil Rís and Rockwell College.

On the same afternoon on the Thomond Park back-pitch, Crescent College Comprehensive edged out PBC 17-13 to book their place in the semi-final. The Cork school will play St Munchin’s in the quarter-final.

St Munchin’s guaranteed their progression to the quarter-finals with a 10-0 win over Castletroy College while Ardscoil Rís and Rockwell College played out a hugely entertaining 24-24 draw. The two teams will meet again this Thursday to determine who plays Bandon Grammar in the next round.
