Twilight 10s Blitzes Encourage Participation

The Munster Rugby Development Department recently hosted midweek Twilight 10s blitzes in Cork and Limerick.

Teams from Waterford IT, IT Tralee and CIT played a round-robin format with a total of 50 players participating in an event hosted by CIT.

A Twilight 10s tournament was also held in Limerick at Old Crescent RFC with teams from the host club, University of Limerick, UL Bohemian and Nenagh Ormond.

Twilight 10s Rugby is open to all third-level colleges and club teams:

• Matches are 10-a-side and played in a blitz format on the night.
• Maximum of 15 players per team with rolling substitutions.
• Players must be U20 – born in 1999 or 2000.

Twilight 10s places emphasis on fun and participation and is a great opportunity for clubs and third-level colleges to take part in an enjoyable mid-week activity.
