U-17 Clubs Side To Face Italian Opposition
23rd October 2014 By Munster Rugby
The Munster U-17 Clubs side will face a touring Italian Academy side in UL on Saturday at 12pm.
The game follows last month's very physical encounter with Bruff U-18s and marks the next step for the U-17s onto the Munster U-18 side.
Ahead of the clash, Assistant Coach Euan Gee said: "It will be a big test and it’s their last game before they go on to the U-18 Clubs team.
"They have been together since the middle of August and this is their fourth game. They previously played the U-17 Schools Development side, Connacht and Bruff."
The Italians will certainly provide stiff opposition with five players from the national U-18 side in the squad and three players from Italy's U-17 team.
