The Munster Rugby U17 Inter-County Blitz Competition got underway at Irish Independent Park on Saturday with six teams participating from across the province.
The teams were made up of club players from across the Munster counties with Cork Red winning all of their matches on the day to secure their place at the top of the table.
Cork Red defeated Kerry, Limerick and Cork White while Tipperary also made an impression on the competition, recording wins over Kerry and Waterford before drawing with Limerick to go second in the table.
The teams are scheduled to play in another round of blitz fixtures on Sunday, December 8, where the top two teams will go head-to-head in the final.
The U17 Inter-County Blitz Competition is an opportunity for age-grade club players to develop their skills in a fun and competitive environment, while also encouraging them to participate in the game.
