UL Bohemians will be looking to reach yet another Women’s All-Ireland League final when they face Galwegians at the UL4G on Sunday afternoon (KO 1pm), while there’s a Dublin derby in the other semi as Railway Union face Old Belvedere.

A big weekend’s rugby in Munster over the next few days sees fans of the oval ball game spoiled for choice in both Cork and Limerick, as the Munster first-team face Toulouse in their first European Champions Cup quarter-final in three seasons, while tonight the Munster ‘A’ side take on the Ealing Trailfinders in the penultimate stage of the B&I Cup.

Sunday, too, is a huge day at domestic level, as the Bank of Ireland Underage finals take place at Thomond Park, while in the women’s game the All-Ireland League reaches the final four stage.

Bohs have been in fine form in the competition thus far, yet have slowed somewhat from their imperious form at the beginning of the season. The Limerick side went through their first 12 games with an 100% record, but with only two matches to close out a perfect season they suffered a shock defeat to Railway Union at Annacotty, before confusion reigned after a 10-all draw in the semi-finals of the All-Ireland Cup.

However, UL have still been absolutely the team to beat, and go into Sunday’s game fully motivated, having beaten the Galway side both home and away this season thus far.

These sides first met at Crowley Park in the beginning of October, where a tight match ended with the Limerick side coming out on top of a 15-10 scoreline, their fourth victory of the year at that stage having already comfortably secured an early leading position.

The return was far more one-sided, as the Annacotty side showed no mercy at home, romping to a 14-try, 50-0 victory against their upcoming semi-final opponents, which should give the women plenty of confidence heading into another home clash.

Railway Union are the only side who have stopped the Limerick side thus far both in the league, and in the aforementioned cup semi-final, and will be favourites heading into their tie with Old Belvedere.
