UL Bohs Women Bid For 12th AIL Title

UL Bohemian RFC Women face into the AIL Division 1 League Final this Saturday against reigning champions Old Belvedere in Donnybrook, following a strong finish to the regular season and a hard fought semi-final win over up and coming Railway Union last weekend.
Bohs’ defeated Railway Union 21-16 in a home semi final to put them in contention for their 12th All Ireland title having previously claimed 11 championships between 2001 and 2013.
The Annacotty side, who sit in top position of the league table will face third placed Old Belvedere who set out to contest for their third title in a row.
Led by Munster and Ireland full-back Niamh Briggs, the Limerick outfit comprise of five Munster players that claimed the Interprovincial title last September.
Speaking ahead of the fixture Team Manager Paul Hennessy said "the team has been building significant momentum over the past number of weeks producing a mix of exhilarating and focused rugby.”
“There is a mix of youth and experience in the team which has gelled well as the season has progressed. The team are looking forward to the occasion and know the extent of the challenge ahead in facing Old Belvedere RFC the reigning league champions.”
