Under 18 Girls 7s Interpro Blitz Day A Great Success

The newly formed Munster Under 18 Sevens girls side took part in a Sevens Interprovincial Development Blitz last Saturday at Westmanstown RFC.

Munster began the day by overcoming their Connacht counterparts before suffering a narrow defeat to Leinster.

Their final fixture was against Ulster where they drew level to complete a very enjoyable day of sevens rugby.

The squad, coached by Matt Browne, will travel to Tullamore RFC on Saturday, 23^rd July to compete in their second Interprovincial Development Blitz as the game continues to grow throughout the country.

Their final fixture of the series will take place on Saturday, 6^th August at St. Mary’s RFC, Dublin.

The squad of 21 began training in June and will continue throughout the summer as they focus on developing their skills.
