Upcoming Conditioning Coach Course

The IRFU is now taking bookings for their upcoming Conditioning Coach Course (CCC), which takes place at the Institute of Technology, Carlow on Monday 24th July to Friday 28th July 2017.
The course is intended to help coaches gain the confidence and competence to condition and prepare players in a safe and enjoyable manner for the game of rugby. Speakers include Nick Winkelman, head of athletic performance & science for the IRFU, and Head of Age Grade Athletic Conditioning at Munster Rugby Fergal O’Callaghan, who spent 9 years working with the Munster senior team.
The CCC is a practical hands-on course where you will see and practice the many strength and conditioning drills and exercises that are appropriate for the physical preparation of rugby players at all levels. The course provides an introduction to current strength & conditioning practice, theory, and ideas for those wishing to increase their knowledge base in the area of strength and conditioning and develop their coaching skills.

The fee for the course is €450, and each participant will receive accreditation from the IRFU following successful completion of course requirements.
