Venue And Time Announced For Schools Junior Cup Final

After two strong semi-finals, this year’s Clayton Hotels Munster Schools Junior Cup final will take place on Wednesday 22nd March, 2pm, at Irish Independent Park.

Crescent College Comprehensive booked their place in the final with a comfortable victory over Rockwell College at the semi-final stage, while in their first game Presentation Brothers College and Christians were tied at 15-apiece.

This is the third time in a row these two have made it to the final stage. In 2015, the Cork side defeated the Limerick outfit 22-10, while last year Crescent extracted their revenge with a 17-7 defeat.

Today’s second game however was a different story, with Aaron Leahy’s brace enough to see them through on a 15-0 scoreline.

They now have a week to recover ahead of next Wednesday’s game, which will take place in Cork, following this coming Friday’s Schools Senior Cup final, involving Glenstal Abbey and Pres.

Tickets will be available on the gate, priced €10 for Adults and €5 for Juniors.
