Victory For Castletroy College And Ard Scoil Ris

The ‘A’ and ‘B’ finals of the North Munster Schools League Cups took place yesterday in a double header at Annacotty, Limerick.

St. Munchin’s College and Castletroy College went head to head in the ‘A’ final which saw Castletroy claim the title with a 12-0 victory.

This preceded the ‘B’ final which saw Ard Scoil Rís overcome their neighbours St. Munchin’s College by a scoreline of 13-3 in a highly entertaining match.

Both competitions have been contested in a league format culminating in a knock out cup phase over the last few months involving eight North Munster schools. This format has been very successful allowing for 340 boys to compete in a minimum of five extra competitive games to complete their schools rugby season.
