Crescent came more into the game and their skipper Gearoid Lyons was off target with two long range penalty efforts to leave the sides scoreless at half time.
Ard Scoil Ris out half Stephen Fitzgerald opened the scoring with a penalty minutes into the second half to leave it 3-0.
The holders hit back and went in front with a try from winger Alan Crean mid way through the half and Gearoid Lyons converted for a 7-3 lead.
Crescent continued to dominate and increased their lead with a try from Jack Hogan which Lyons converted.
