Presentation Brothers College are into the hat for tomorrow’s Clayton Hotels Munster Schools Junior Cup draw after a convincing win over Ard Scoil Rís in their second round encounter at Irish Independent Park.

The winners ran in eight tries in their 48-3 victory.

The Mardyke College had 15 points on the board with unconverted tries from Daniel Hurley, Patrick Campbell and Ronan Wilson, before Christopher Guerin responded with a penalty for the Limerick side in the 21st minute.

PBC increased their lead to 22-3 with a try by Daniel Squires next to the posts, which was converted by Darragh French on the stroke of half-time.

The second half was one-why traffic in favour of the Mardyke College but they had to wait until the 41st minute for French to score their fifth try, which he also converted.

PBC played exhibition rugby in the final quarter as French added a try and two conversions. Bevan Forde and Brian Anthony also scored tries in this period.
