Video Analysis With Castleisland School
23rd January 2017 By Munster Rugby
Munster Community Rugby Officers Ray Gadsden and John O’Neill recently helped out the second year students from Castleisland Community College with video analysis as the students took part in the Kerry Science in Sport week.
The students were videoed during different rugby games, skills and activities.
They then went back to the classroom to watch their sessions. They were given feedback from the videos on skills of the game and understanding their roles within a team environment.
A big thanks to Maria Moriarty, their teacher, for helping to organise the event.
The Community Rugby Department at Munster Rugby is comprised of five Community Rugby Officers with each one responsible for a group of clubs, schools and colleges within an allocated geographic region.
It also includes a Women's Development Officer, Girls Participation Officer, Limerick Regeneration Officer and 12 part-time Club and Community Rugby Officers working in schools in conjunction with their respective clubs.
The primary role of the department is to increase participation across all areas of rugby throughout Munster. For more details, please email info@munsterrugby.ie.
