The beginning of Munster’s Vodafone Women’s Interprovincial Championship campaign kicks off this weekend as Munster welcome Ulster to Musgrave Park on Saturday, January 7th (KO 4.45pm).
Last month, head coach Niamh Briggs named a 34-woman squad for January’s Interpros which sees Munster take on Ulster, Leinster and Connacht on successive weekends.
As the squad prepare for that opening game, we caught up with some of the players to discuss how training has been going ahead of the beginning of the competition.
Back-row Ciara Farrell, who this year is involved in the Munster squad for the first time, spoke to Munster Rugby and she says its an advantage that many of the players who were involved in last season’s Interpro campaign are involved again this year.
