Video: Concussion Guidelines For The Referee
5th October 2015 By Munster Rugby
Following on from last season’s Concussion Awareness Workshops, Munster Rugby in conjunction with the IRFU wish to remind coaches, players, parents and referees on the dangers of concussion and how it is recognised as we embark on season 2015/16.
The IRFU Medical Department has developed a series of videos highlighting the importance of proper management of concussion in the domestic game.
The videos, which feature former Munster and Ireland player Alan Quinlan, have been specifically tailored for the key decision makers in the domestic game, namely, players, coaches, officials and family members.
This week we'll take a look at the role of the referee in recognising the signs and symptoms of concussion and the importance of following protocol under IRFU guidelines.
