Video | Kate Flannery Previews Visit Of Leinster
15th August 2024 By The Editor
We spoke to Kate Flannery ahead of Round 2 of the Vodafone Women’s Interprovincial Championship against Leinster, and got her thoughts on the visit of last season’s champions.
Flannery reflected on the Round 1 clash against Ulster, what was learnt, and how changes can be made going into Round 2.
“We’re definitely happy enough to get the bonus point win, from the game there are a lot of glimpses of what we can do, but we also learned a lot about ourselves in terms of what we need to work on in the coming weeks,” Flannery said.
“We’re just excited to get back training and work on what we need to do.”
A definite plus for the Munster side will be that the fixture is again held in Cork, at Virgin Media Park, where the support is welcomed and valued.
“I think that when you’re in Cork you always know you’re at home, the crowd is just unreal”
She added, “at the end seeing how much people are out to support us will definitely play a part when we’re playing Leinster. When things are getting tough and they’re getting on top of us, to know that there is the support behind us is just class.”
