Video: Lacey’s Rise To The World Stage

We catch up with International Referee Johnny Lacey who returns to Champions Cup rugby tomorrow night when Leicester Tigers take on Stade Francais in Pool 4.

Following his return from the Rugby Wold Cup 2015 Johnny talks us through his refereeing pathway and acknowledges the support from the MAR and IRFU throughout his career.

Originally from Tipperary town, Johnny started his playing career with Clanwilliam FC. A former Munster senior, junior, Ireland 'A' and Ireland Sevens player, John also played for Sunday’s Well and Shannon RFC winning five All-Ireland League medals and eight Munster Senior Cup titles during a successful playing career.

Johnny has been employed with Munster Rugby since 2009 working in Player and Coach Development.
