Waterford Schools Rugby Takes Off

Munster Rugby recently held an ‘Introduction to Rugby Day’ in De La Salle College, Waterford.

The event was run as part of Munster Rugby’s development plan to promote the sport within non-traditional rugby playing schools.

A total of 109 first year pupils attended the rugby session coordinated by Munster Rugby Coaching Officers, with the assistance of the school's coaches Elaine Walsh and Ailbhe Conway.

Munster Rugby will continue to run rugby sessions in De La Salle College in preparation for an inaugural Waterford Schools Blitz for first year students, scheduled to take place at the end of the school year.
