Week 7 Summer Camps Get Underway
14th August 2017 By The Editor
Week seven of our Bank of Ireland Munster Rugby Summer Camps kicked off today in Tipperary, Cork City and County.
After last week’s brilliant five days in Ballincollig, Bruff and Fermoy, our team of coaches are gearing up for what is sure to be yet another fun-filled, enjoyable week of skills, games, and the best in coaching.
This time around we’re in Coláiste Stiofáin Naofa, Nenagh and Kanturk, the second last week in the very popular Summer Camps.
Munster stars Duncan Williams and Billy Holland are scheduled to take time out of their busy schedule to visit the CSN camp, Jean Klein and Chris Farrell will head to Tipperary, and Kanturk are getting a visit from Ian Keatley and Rhys Marshall. There’s sure to be an enormous wealth of knowledge that our aspiring #FutureReds can gain an insight on in the Q&A sessions.
This summer Munster Rugby have held a total of 23 venues throughout the whole province which conclude next week in Newcastle West, Old Crescent and Skibbereen (click here to download application form).
Camp places are available for boys and girls from 6 to 12 years old and take place over one week (Monday through to Friday inclusive) between 9:30am and 1:30pm.
The current crop of boys and girls will get the chance to make new friends, learn more about rugby values such as teamwork, respect and integrity, and also become more aware of the importance of physical fitness. All this while learning to develop the basic rugby skills of passing, tackling (in a controlled environment), evasion and kicking.
We’ll be checking in with the three camps later on in the week to see how they’re progressing, but for now we hope they all enjoy their time with us, becoming the next group of #FutureReds.
