Week Four Of Summer Camps Begin
24th July 2017 By The Editor
Week four is underway in the Bank of Ireland Munster Rugby Summer Camps, as we move to Cobh, Kinsale, and Killarney where the newest recruits get another action-packed week underway in Cork and Kerry.
Last week saw the Summer Sun continue for our#FutureReds, who last week took part in camps at Midleton and Castleisland, as well as the continuing Cork English Summer camps.
This week marks the return of some of our international stars, as helping the youngsters with their skills and maybe even answering some questions about life as a Munster Rugby player. John Ryan and Niall Scannell are in Cobh, Simon Zebo and Rory Scannell meanwhile will travel down to Kinsale, while Dave Kilcoyne and Jack O’Donoghue will visit youngsters at Killarney.
This summer we have a total of 23 venues throughout the whole province (click here to find your nearest venue).
Camp places are available for boys and girls from 6 to 12 years old and take place over one week (Monday through to Friday inclusive) between 9:30am and 1:30pm.
The current crop of boys and girls will get the chance to make new friends, learn more about rugby values such as teamwork, respect and integrity, and also become more aware of the importance of physical fitness. All this while learning to develop the basic rugby skills of passing, tackling (in a controlled environment), evasion and kicking.
We’ll be checking in with the three camps later on in the week to see how they’re progressing, but for now we hope they all enjoy their time with us, becoming the next group of #FutureReds.
