The Bank of Ireland Munster Senior Cup gets underway with a full programme of first round ties on Saturday.
Holders Cork Constitution begin their defence of the trophy against UL Bohemian at Annacotty. The winners will be rewarded with a home quarter-final tie against Nenagh Ormond or Garryowen, who go head to head at New Ormond Park.
The only local derby sees Dolphin begin their quest for a first title in 60 years as they lock horns with Leeside neighbours Highfield at Irish Independent Park. The winners will have home advantage in the quarter-finals against Old Crescent or Midleton, who meet at Rosbrien.
Kanturk host last year’s finalists Young Munster at the Duhallow venue. The winners will be at home to Shannon or Sunday’s Well who clash at Coonagh.
UCC host Bruff at the Mardyke. The winners will have a quarter final tie against Cashel or Thomond.
The Transfield Cup continues with Newcastle West taking on Presentation at the West Limerick venue on Sunday. The winners will have a home semi-final tie against St Senan’s.
In South Munster, the Cork County Cup and O’Neill Cup get underway on Sunday.
Skibbereen begin their defence of the Cork County Cup against Muskerry at Ballyanly. The winners will be away to Bandon or Old Christians, who go head to head at Old Chapel, in the quarter finals.
Kanturk entertain Clonakilty at Knocknacolan. The winners will be rewarded with a home quarter-final against last season’s finalists Cobh Pirates or Midleton, who lock horns in an East Cork derby at the Paddocks.
Crosshaven and Ballincollig get proceedings underway in the O’Neill Cup at Myrtleville Cross. The winners will be away to Mitchelstown in the quarter finals.
Kinsale host Mallow, with the winners away to Bantry Bay.
The semi finals of the Garryowen Cup are down for decision with Clanwilliam hosting Thurles and there is a local derby with Waterford City entertaining Waterpark at Kilbarry.
At Junior 2 level the opening games in the McInerney Cup will be decided and both the Dennehy and the Muskerry Cups are at the semi final stage.
