Weekend Club Preview

The Ulster Bank All Ireland League continues with a full program of games across all five divisions.

In Division 1A Cork Constitution entertain bottom side Ballynahinch at Temple Hill with the home side aiming to build on their narrow win over Clontarf last time out and climb up the table.

Third-placed Garryowen travel to the Capital to take on defending champions Lansdowne, who are currently sixth.

Young Munster, who are second from bottom, will have their work cut out as they welcome leaders Old Belvedere to Tom Clifford Park.

Shannon face a tricky task as they aim to climb up the table and build on their recent Limerick derby win over fellow struggler UL Bohemian when they entertain second-placed Old Wesley at Thomond Park in Division 1B.

UL Bohemian who are second form bottom are away to sixth-placed Blackrock College.

Dolphin will be looking to make the most of home advantage count as they host fourth-placed Buccaneers at Irish Independent Park.

Division 2A leaders Cashel will be aiming to maintain their unbeaten run as they lock horns with fourth-placed Malone at the Spafield.

UCC travel to Belfast to take on Queen’s University in a mid-table encounter and Thomond and Nenagh Ormond go head to head in a basement clash at Lima Fitzgerald Park.

Second-placed Highfield take on bottom side Seapoint in Division 2B at Woodleigh Park and Leeside neighbours Sunday’s Well, who are seventh, are away to fourth-placed Bective Rangers.

The game of the day in Division 2C sees leaders Old Crescent going head to head with second-placed Wanderers in a top of the table clash at Rosbrien.

Third-placed Bruff host fifth-placed Midleton at Kilballyowen Park and Kanturk travel to the Royal County to take on Navan.

The quarter finals of the three divisional Junior knock-out competitions are down for decision, along with two games in Division 1 of the Junior League.

Bandon face a tricky task as they welcome Newcastle West to Old Chapel in Division 1 of the Munster Junior League, with the West Limerick side aiming to collect maximum points and leapfrog Old Christians and Kilfeacle into third place.

Clanwilliam, who are propping up the table, will have their work cut out as they entertain St Senan’s in Tipperary Town.

In the Munster Junior Clubs’ Challenge Cup quarter finals, Skibbereen take on Galbally at the Carbery Showgrounds and the winners will have a home semi final tie against Clanwilliam or St Senan’s, who will play their quarter final at a later date.

Clonmel continue their defence of the trophy against St Mary’s at Grove Island and the winners will have a home semi final against Richmond or Kilfeacle who lock horns at Richmond Park.

Castleisland host Thurles in the quarter finals of the Munster Junior Clubs’ Challenge Shield and the winners will be at home to Cobh Pirates or Presentation, who go head to head at Rathuard, in the semi finals.

Last season’s finalists Mallow travel to Ballincollig and the winners will be at home to the winners of the Abbeyfeale or Kinsale tie.

Corca Dhuibhne and Killarney go head to head in a Kingdom derby in the West Kerry Gaeltacht in the quarter finals of the Martin O’Sullivan Cup. The winners will be rewarded with a home tie against Youghal or Killorglin.

There are two Cork derbies which sees Fermoy hosting Douglas-Carrigaline at the Showgrounds, with the winners at home to Bantry Bay or Crosshaven who go head to head at the West Cork venue.
