Weekend Club Preview And Fixtures

It is another busy weekend in the Ulster Bank League and Munster Junior League.

There are several derby games down for decision on tonight in the Ulster Bank League.

Proceedings get underway in Division 1A where Dolphin, who are rooted to the foot of the table, entertain Cork Constitution in a Leeside derby at Irish Independent Park. The hosts will be anxious to get their first win of the campaign over their arch rivals.

In Division 1B, third-placed Garryowen will be aiming to keep their bid for a quick return to the top flight intact as they take on UL Bohemian in a Limerick derby at Thomond Park.

Richmond, who are still without a win in Division 2B, face a tricky task as they travel to Kilballyowen Park to take on seventh placed Bruff.

On Saturday, Young Munster will be looking to make the most of home advantage in Division 1A of the Ulster Bank League in a bid to climb further up the table and build on last weekend’s away win over Cork Constitution as they welcome fourth-placed Ballynahinch to Tom Clifford Park.

Shannon travel to the Capital to take on Dublin University in a basement clash in Division 1B at College Park.

There is a Tipperary derby in Division 2A which sees Cashel locking horns with Nenagh Ormond in a mid-table encounter at the Spafield.

Thomond will be looking to continue their quest for a second successive promotion as they travel to Killiney to take on struggling Seapoint at Kilbogget Park.

UCC go head to head with Dungannon in a basement clash at the Mardyke.

Division 2B leaders Highfield make the long trip north to take on second-placed City of Armagh at the Palace Grounds.

Kanturk, who have claimed three losing bonus points, will be looking to make home advantage count as they entertain struggling Ards at the Duhallow venue.

Midleton travel to North Wicklow to take on Greystones and Sunday’s Well are away to Navan. Old Crescent go head to head with fourth-placed Tullamore at Rosbrien.

Munster Junior League leaders Newcastle West will be looking to claim maximum points from their home tie against St Mary’s and Clonmel will be looking to keep their challenge alive as they take on Galbally at the County Limerick venue.

Third-placed Muskerry will be looking to get back to winning ways as they entertain bottom side Kinsale at Ballyanly.

In mid-table ties Clonakilty welcome Kilfeacle to the Vale and St Senan’s are at home to Old Christians.

Tralee make the long trip to Ballinakill on Saturday to take on Waterpark in a basement clash.

In Division Two second placed Castleisland will be aiming to close the gap on pacesetters Bandon as they entertain near neighbours Abbeyfeale, who are hovering above the drop zone.

Clanwilliam and Mallow will also be looking to keep their promotion hopes alive as the Tipperary Town side are away to Thurles in a Premier County derby and the North Cork side are at home to Presentation.

Waterford City welcome Newport to Suirside and Killarney travel to the Banner County to play Ennis.

Youghal and Ballincollig lock horns in a relegation battle at the East Cork venue.

Division 3 joint leaders Dungarvan take on bottom side Carrigaline at Ballyrandle and Douglas should have little difficulty in seeing off the challenge of Killorglin at the South Cork venue.

Bantry Bay are at home to Scariff and Charleville are at home to Fethard in a game which doubles up as a Martin O’Sullivan Cup quarter final tie.
