Weekend Club Preview And Fixtures

The new season gets underway in South Munster with the quarter finals of the Cork Charity Cup down for decision.

Last season’s finalists Sunday’s Well lock horns with Dolphin at Irish Independent Park on Saturday. The winners will be rewarded with a home tie in the semi-finals against Highfield who received a walk over from Midleton.

Cork Constitution begin their defence of the trophy against UCC at Temple Hill on Monday evening. The winners will have home advantage in the semi-finals against Kanturk or Cashel, who meet at the Duhallow venue on Saturday.

The first semi final of the Limerick Charity Cup takes place on Friday evening, when holders Young Munster traveling to Nenagh Ormond.

The other semi final goes ahead at Coonagh on Saturday with a 1.30pm kick off when Shannon entertain Garryowen.

St Senan’s and Bruff contest the first quarter final of the Transfield Cup at Jimmy Slattery Park on Saturday.

On Sunday Richmond entertain St. Mary’s and on Tuesday Garryowen play Newcastle West in a first round tie.

Action also gets underway at Junior 2 level in South Munster with full programmes of games in the opening rounds of the Dennehy Cup and the Muskerry Cup.
