Weekend Club Preview And Fixtures

The Ulster Bank All Ireland League continues with a full programme of games across all four divisions.

Cork Constitution will be looking to make the most of home advantage in a bid to record their first win of the campaign in Division 1A as they welcome sixth-placed Ballynahinch to Temple Hill.

Fellow Leesiders Dolphin, who are propping up the table, will have their work cut out as they travel to the Capital to take on fifth-placed UCD at Belfield.

Young Munster face a tricky task as they travel to Dublin to take on third-placed Terenure College at Lakelands Park.

In Division 1B there is a top of the table clash at Crowley Park as third-placed UL Bohemian take on leaders Galwegians.

Garryowen, who are fourth, are also in action against Galway opposition as they entertain Corinthians at Dooradoyle.

Home advantage at Thomond Park will be vital for Shannon as they go in search of their first win of the campaign against Buccaneers.

Nenagh Ormond and Thomond, who were both promoted from Division 2B, go head-to-head at the North Tipperary venue on Friday evening.

On Saturday, Cashel face a tricky task as they welcome second-placed Naas to the Spafield and basement side UCC are at home to Bective Rangers.

In Division 2B fourth-placed Midleton take on leaders Sligo at the East Cork venue.

Highfield and Old Crescent, who were both relegated last season, face off at Woodleigh Park and Bruff make the long trip to County Down to take on Ards, who are propping up the table.

Newcomers Kanturk welcome Boyne to Knocknaconlon for the Duhallow Club’s first home match at this level. The home side will be looking to make home advantage count in a bid to record their first AIL victory after claiming a bonus point from their narrow 27-25 defeat by Navan on the opening day of the campaign.

Sunday’s Well take on Tullamore at Musgrave Park and Richmond are away to DLSP.

The Munster Junior League commences with a full programme of games in Divisions 1 and 2.

Two sides with contrasting fortunes in Division 2 last season get the show on the road on Friday evening as Bandon, who narrowly missed out on promotion and Newport, who narrowly avoided relegation, go head to head under lights at Old Chapel.

In Division 1, Kinsale mark their debut in the top flight with a home tie against Clonmel and Division 2 winners St Senan’s are away to Galbally.

The two former AIL sides begin their campaigns with home fixtures as Clonakilty entertain Tralee and Waterpark welcome Old Christians to Ballinakill.

Kilfeacle are at home to Cobh Pirates, Muskerry take on St Mary’s at Ballyanly and Newcastle West make the long trip to West Cork to take on Skibbereen.

On Sunday, Mallow, who were relegated after one season in the top flight, welcome Clanwilliam to St Joseph’s Road.

Division 3 champions Ballincollig have been handed a tricky assignment as they travel to Limerick to take on Presentation at Rathuard.

Runners-up Abbeyfeale are away to Ennis, who avoided the drop.

Youghal welcome Castleisland to East Cork, Killarney are away to Crosshaven and Waterford City are at home to Thurles.

There is one tie down for decision in the Martin O’Sullivan Cup as Fethard mark their debut in the competition against Carrigaline at the South Cork venue.

Holders Cork Constitution and Highfield lock horns in the Dennehy Cup final at Woodleigh Park.

The semi-finals of the O’Sullivan (Muskerry) Cup are also down for decision as Kinsale are at home to Dolphin and Sunday’s Well travel to North Cork to take on Mitchelstown.
