Weekend Fixtures

ODM Munster Cup semi-finals dominate a quite weekend of local rugby action.

Cashel are the only non-Division 1A club left in the ODM Munster Senior Cup and they face their toughest game of the season when they travel to Temple Hill to face Cork Constitution.
Cashel in only their second year as a senior club have acquitted themselves well in Division 2A with victories over Old Crescent and Midleton. Cork Constitution who won the trophy back in 2009 will be anxious to book their final place after a disappointing start to their league campaign. The home side may blood some of their younger players and a close contest can be expected, but the home side should book their final place.

The other semi-final is between U.L. Bohemian and Young Munster at Annacotty and both sides have made a good start to the season. Munster are the form team and will be expected to advance but the home side should run them close.

The two semi-finals in the ODM Cyril Fitzgerald Plate are also to be decided. Dolphin are at home to Bruff and Nenagh entertain Midleton with both home sides expected to reach the final.

There are two Munster Junior Clubs Challenge Cup quarter final ties to be decided on Saturday. Holders Richmond are away to Waterpark. These sides met in the league last week with the Limerick side coming out on top 37-10 and despite having to travel the visitors should book their place in the last four.

The other tie sees Kanturk travelling to Cobh Pirates and the visitors who are still unbeaten should preserve their unbeaten record.
