There are only a handful of Senior games this weekend, together with a full programme of games in the Munster Junior League.
On Saturday, Dolphin, who are seeking their first Bank of Ireland Senior Cup success in 60 years, travel to North Tipperary to take on Nenagh Ormond in the quarter finals. The winners will take on holders Cork Constitution at Temple Hill in the semi-finals.
In Division 2A of the Ulster Bank All Ireland League Cashel travel to Galway to take on bottom side Corinthians. The Premier County side will be looking to bounce back from their 27-7 defeat by Queens University last time out and record their second win over Corinthians.
Thomond, who are second form bottom, will be looking to make the most of home advantage count against UCC as they aim to build on last week’s home win over Skerries in their battle against relegation.
Highfield lock horns with MU Barnhall for the second time in three weeks. The Woodleigh Park side, who have slipped to fourth, will be expected to make it two wins out of two over the County Kildare side.
Division 3 leaders Youghal and Carrick-on-Suir get the show on the road in the Munster Junior League under lights at the East Cork venue on Friday evening.
On Sunday, League leaders Clonmel will be expected to take another step closer to retaining their title as they take on struggling Old Christians at the South Tipperary venue.
Second-placed Richmond will be expected to maintain their challenge as they welcome Bandon to Richmond Park.
Third-placed Kilfeacle will be expected to claim maximum points from their local derby against Clanwilliam in their bid for a top four finish.
Galbally will be looking to make the most of home advantage count in their quest for a top four finish as they entertain Newcastle West in a County Limerick derby.
Muskerry will be aiming to take another step closer to safety as they take on St Senan’s in a mid-table encounter at Ballyanly.
Clonakilty, who are hovering above the drop zone are at home to bottom side St Mary’s and West Cork neighbours Skibbereen are at home to Waterpark in another basement clash.
Division 2 pacesetters Abbeyfeale will be expected to claim maximum points from their home meeting with Tralee and fellow promotion contenders Cobh Pirates are at home to Ballincollig.
Kinsale and Thurles will both be aiming to keep their outside challenges for promotion on track as they take on sides who are battling against relegation. Kinsale travel to the Banner County to take on Ennis and Thurles are at home to bottom side Dungarvan.
Mallow, who recorded their first win of the campaign against Ennis, travel to Suirside to take on Waterford City.
There are two mid-table clashes as Charleville and Newport go head to head at Smith’s Road and Castleisland welcome Presentation to the Kingdom.
Crosshaven will be expected to claim all points on offer from their Division 3 tie against Chorca Dhuibhne at Myrtleville Cross.
Douglas-Carrigaline and Fermoy coming off the back of surprise defeats against Bantry Bay and Killorglin respectively lock horns in a Cork derby at Moneygourney.
There will be nothing more than local pride at stake as Killorglin and Killarney go head to head in a Kerry derby and Bantry Bay make the long trip to East Clare to take on bottom side Scariff.
