Finalists in Munster Junior Cup, Junior Plate and Bowl have all been decided with Cork Constitution and Cashel contesting this season’s Munster Junior Cup Final

Cork Constitution defeated Kilfeacle 17-10 at Musgrave Park. Kilfeacle played with the wind in the opening half and trailed 11-3 at half time. Shane Luby opened the scoring with a penalty for Kilfeacle after twenty six minutes. Simon Barry who had come on as a replacement for the injured out half Peter O’Sullivan kicked two penalties just before the break and a try by Pat O’Connell left it 11-3 in favour of the Temple Hill side at half time.
Shane Luby brought Kilfeacle to within a point with a try and conversion after six minutes of the second half. Two further penalties from Barry in the final quarter of the game sealed Con’s place in the decider.

The meeting of the First Division and Second Division champions at Clanwilliam Park resulted in a 34- 10 win for Cashel over Galbally. In a keenly contested opening half, Cashel led 11-10 at the break. Darragh O’Brien scored a try and two penalties for the Tipperary side and Alan O’Donnell replied with a try the Limerick men and Darren Guerin converted and also added a penalty. Indiscipline by Galbally resulted in three further penalties by O’Brien and a second try by O’Brien and Ollie McGlinchey both converted by O’Brien completed the scoring. O’Brien contributed twenty nine of his side’s total.

Killarney and Newport will contest next week’s Munster Junior Plate Final.
Killarney won the Kerry derby with a 6-0 away win over Castleisland. Paudie Sheahan kicked two penalties for the winners.

Newport had a 20-6 home win over Bandon. Newport led 15-6 at half time with tries from Darragh Ryan and Brian Collins and a conversion and penalty by Micheal Ryan. David Ahern kicked two penalties for Bandon. Tom Ryan added a third try for Newport after the break.

Waterford City defeated Kilrush 24-16 to reach the final of the Munster Junior Bowl where they will play Presentation. Colm Lynch, Darren Walsh, Danny May and Lenny Power scored tries for Waterford and Aaron Foskin kicked two conversions.

Corca Dhuibhne ended Scariff’s unbeaten run in the Third Division of the Munster Junior League with a 29-27 victory. The home side had the bonus point wrapped up by half time with two tries by Ciaran Collins and one each by Michael Flannery and John Dwane. Collins kicked one conversion for a 2215 interval lead. Henry Purcell and Barry Gibbons replied with tries for Scariff and James Kelly kicked a conversion and penalty. Stephen Madden closed the gap with a third try for Scariff but the home side replied with a second try from Dwane which Collins converted. Kelly made sure of two bonus points for the visitors with a fourth try which he also converted.

Holders Richmond booked their place in the final of the Transfield Cup with a 28-26 home win over U.L. Bohemian. The winning points coming from a late penalty by Wayne Murphy. Sean Bennett and Darren Gallagher scored first half tries for Richmond and Stephen Clancy converted one for a 12-0 lead at the interval Clancy added a try after the break and Wayne Murphy took over the kicking duties and added a conversion, drop goal and two penalties.

Presentation had a surprise 31-21 home win over Garryowen to set up a semi final meeting with Newcastle West. Mark Phair scored two tries for the winners and David Hurley got one. Phair kicked two conversions and three penalties and Sean O’Brien one penalty.

Crosshaven finished their preparations for the All Ireland Junior Cup with a 26-11 home win over Ballincollig in the Cork County Cup and setup an away semi final tie against Skibbereen. Eamon Ring scored two tries for the winners and Ross O’Connell and Andrew Lane got one each with Liam Delaney kicking three conversions.

Old Christians defeated Youghal 39-25 to book their semi final place. Alan Mackessy score three tries and Dave Donnelly, Conor Quaid and Aidan Ware got one apiece. Conor Mangan kicked three conversions and a penalty. Niall Clohessy, Ken Forrest and Alan Fox were try scorers for Youghal and Jonathon Ormond kicked two conversions and two penalties.

Kanturk will now face Old Christians in the semi finals after they defeated Kinsale 50-24. Michael Twohig, Matthew Daly, Paul Cotter, John Cronin, Denis O’Neill, Carlton O’Leary and John Duggan were Kanturk’s try scorers and Darragh Meade kicked six conversions and a penalty.

Muskerry booked their place in the semi finals of the O’Neill Cup were they will face Mallow after their 23-6 home win over Douglas. JD Meyer and Eoin Corcoran were try scorers for the Ballyanly side and Eoin Keohane converted both and also kicked three penalties.

Tralee defeated Dolphin 27-17 after extra time to reach the final of the Junior Two Cup South. Jessie Griffin and Adam Sheehan were try scorers for Dolphin and Pat Ahern converted both and also added a penalty.

A last minute try by Fergus Rowan gave Cork Constitution an 11-6 away win over Ballincollig. Gary Burns kicked two penalties for the visitors and Kevin Ryan replied with two penalties for Ballincollig.

Tries by Anthony Barrett and Darryl Barry both converted by Martin O’Connor helped Mallow to a 14-7 win over Kinsale in the Dave Dineen Cup.
