Over a relatively quiet St Patrick’s weekend, the Bank of Ireland Munster Senior Cup decider takes centre stage.
The Bank of Ireland Munster Junior Bowl final is also down for decision and there is action spread across the Munster Junior Cup, Munster Junior League, and the inaugural Women’s All Ireland Junior Cup.
On Thursday evening, Nenagh Ormond go head to head with holders Young Munster in the Munster Senior Challenge Cup final. The North Tipperary side are seeking their first triumph, while Young Munster are aiming to record three triumphs in a row for the first time. The Limerick side successfully retained the trophy last season for the first time in their history. They also recorded their first victories over Shannon and Garryowen in finals in each of the last two deciders.
In Round 3 of the Bank of Ireland Munster Junior Cup, newly-crowned Munster Junior League champions Richmond welcome Kanturk to the Canal Bank for their third-round tie. The winners will be away to Skibbereen in Round 4.
Waterpark are at home to Tralee and the winners will be away to Galbally-Mitchelstown.
In Round 4 Abbeyfeale are at home to Kilfeacle and the winners will be away to Skibbereen, Richmond or Kanturk in the quarter finals
Shannon entertain Newcastle West, with Garryowen awaiting the winners at Dooradoyle.
UCC welcome Thurles to Curaheen Road and the winners will be rewarded with a home quarter-final against Highfield.
The Bank of Ireland Munster Junior Bowl decider is also down for decision as Killarney and Castleisland lock horns in a Kingdom derby at O’Dowd Park in Tralee.
Youghal are at home to Fermoy in the last game of Section B of the Munster Junior League. Victory for either side will give them an away tie with Charleville in the promotion play-off series.
The inaugural Women’s All Ireland Junior Cup gets underway with two Munster sides in action.
Skibbereen entertain Westport at the Carbery Showgrounds and UL Bohemian travel to County Offaly to take on Tullamore.
