The semi-finals in Division 1A of the All Ireland League take centre stage this weekend, together with the promotion play-off semi-finals.
The second semi-final of the Bank of Ireland Munster Senior Plate also takes place this weekend together with the Bank of Ireland Munster Junior Cup semi-finals.
There are also two Women’s finals at national and local level down for decision.
In the Division 1A semi-finals of the All Ireland League, Young Munster, whose only triumph was in 1993, travel to the Capital to take on holders Clontarf at Castle Avenue.
The Limerick side defeated Clontarf 24-19 at Tom Clifford Park on November, while the Dublin side recorded a narrow 27-24 home win, when these sides met at Castle Avenue in February.
Cork Constitution are also in Dublin, as they take on last year’s beaten finalists Terenure College at Lakelands Park. The Leesiders, whose last triumph was in 2019, were heavily defeated 47-12 by the Dublin side at Lakelands Park in October, but they avenged this defeat with a narrow 27-23 victory at Temple Hill.
Highfield travel to Dublin for their Division 1A Promotion Play-off semi-final against Old Belvedere at Ollie Campbell Park. Highfield defeated Old Belvedere 21-10 at Woodleigh Park in November, but were defeated 22-7 when these sides met in Dublin in February. The winners will meet Shannon or Old Wesley, who go head to head at Thomond Park.
Nenagh Ormond are away to Blackrock College in their Division 1B Promotion Play-off semi-final. The North Tipperary side defeated Blackrock College 20-10 when these sides meat at New Ormond Park in January, while Blackrock College ran out 17-14 winners at Stradbrook in December. Banbridge or MU Barnhall await the winners in the final.
UL Bohemian entertain Sligo in their Division 2A semi-final at Annacotty, with Galway Corinthians or Dungannon awaiting the winners.
Bruff travel to Galway for their Division 2B semi-final against Galwegians at Crowley Park. The winners will meet Skerries or Tullamore in the decider.
The second semi-final of the Bank of Ireland Muster Senior Plate is down for decision between Midleton and UCC on Friday evening. UL Bohemian await the winners in the decider.
In the semi-finals of the Bank of Ireland Munster Junior Cup, holders Young Munster continue their defence of the trophy against Garryowen, whose last triumph was in 2007, at Dooradoyle.
In the other semi-final, 2002 winners Kilfeacle, lock horns with UCC, who last won the trophy in 1979.
The final of the Women’s All Ireland Cup Series is down for decision as Railway Union go head to head with UL Bohemian at Templeville Road on Sunday. Railway Union ran out 55-17 home winners when these sides met in Dublin three weeks earlier.
Ennis-Kilrush and Thurles contest the Munster Women’s Divisional Bowl final at 4GUL.
